Wrapping Up Another Fair Season

As the fall weather begins, we say ‘that’s a wrap’ to another fair season. This summer was a hectic one but we cannot thank our customers enough for their orders. We love the working relationships we have built with all of you and we value the friendships we have created. It won’t be long before we see you all down in San Antonio at the IAFE Convention, but I couldn’t wait to share with you how our summer went.

Most of our summer days were spent cranking out our custom ribbons, banners, and awards to you guys. However, we did get to sneak away a few days this year to visit a few of you! We didn’t make it out of our home state of Iowa, but our fair visits did not disappoint.

The Great Jones County Fair

We kicked off the season visiting the Great Jones County Fair. They are located just north of us in Monticello, Iowa. I think it was the hottest week of the summer but we still managed to explore and catch some Hootie & the Blowfish!

Des Moines County fair

Our next stop on our fair tour was the Des Moines County Fair. They are our neighbors to the east and located in West Burlington, Iowa. We chose to visit on Friday. This just so happened to be the day RAGBRAI went through, so there was a little extra excitement! To avoid traffic, we got there early and watched the beef show. Afterward, we enjoyed some concessions and strolled through the exhibits.

Iowa State Fair

Our last big stop for the summer was the Iowa State Fair. It is located in Des Moines, Iowa. We had a couple people visit on different days and managed to explore all the fair had to offer. We strolled through all the pigs, chickens and other animals. Then, we took pit stops to eat our favorite fair foods, a corndog for me of course – you just can’t go wrong with one of those! Some saw the butter cow, others saw the massive sand display in front of the midway, and everyone had to take that stroll through the agriculture building. I mean, how could we not? The flowers are gorgeous.

Overall, our summer went by way too quickly. Now, we enter our winter fairs and livestock shows. Our production slows down a bit, we take time to evaluate this year, and to prepare for next year. You all are welcome to help us prepare for next year. We offer huge discounts through February and we love feedback on our Google Reviews. I can’t wait to hear from you all!
